The quietest stretch of Jamaica's
north coast for photography.
Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay sit on the north coast roughly midway between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, and they represent one of the most underrated photography stretches on the island. The bays here are sheltered and quiet, the villa properties along the coast are some of the most secluded and beautiful on Jamaica's north shore, and the beaches are largely undiscovered by the main tourist traffic.
Bengal Beach at Rio Bueno, just five minutes west of Discovery Bay, is one of the standout photography locations in this stretch of coast. A quiet harbour beach lined with private luxury villa properties, it has golden sand, clear water, and a complete absence of resort crowd noise. The Fortlands Road villa properties in Discovery Bay proper offer a similar quality of seclusion, sitting directly on a sheltered bay with exceptionally clear water. Both locations produce photography with a private, intimate character that resort beaches simply cannot match.
I travel from Montego Bay for sessions in this area, approximately 60 to 90 minutes each way. A travel fee applies and is confirmed at booking.

Bengal Beach, Rio Bueno

Bengal Beach sits on the eastern side of Rio Bueno harbour, about five minutes west of Discovery Bay. It is one of the quietest and most genuinely private beaches on the north coast, lined with luxury villa properties including Beachnut Villa and Fantasy Villa. The beach is largely free from tourist traffic, with golden sand, clear turquoise water, and the kind of unhurried seclusion that is very difficult to find at this stretch of the island. I have photographed here and it is a consistently excellent setting for family and couples sessions. The late afternoon light across the bay is beautiful.
